Let go of the pen

Most graphic facilitators still tend to keep control of the pen(s).

But no matter how compelling your visual sketches are, if you really want participants to feel involved and committed, you need to relinquish that control.

I was working with Scott Shaw on an Inception.  I remember him saying something along the lines of
"Did you notice that they've started writing on and moving the cards themselves?  I'm always waiting for that moment to occur."
It's important to make it easy for people to understand and remember using images.

I would say it's even more important to make it easy for people to participate and commit.
