Every so often, I get into a debate about why the Agile Manifesto should improve over time given that's what "We are uncovering better ways of developing software..." means.
I've done re-visitings before ("What is Agile?" -- June 2005, "Agility is not the point" -- May 2007) but I figure it's time to do another one.
So if I were to improve the Agile Manifesto...
I would add pictures and tell stories rather than just have text which are essentially bullet points.
I'd describe an ideal outcome or vision.
I'd use simpler language and structure.
I'd rank concepts in order of importance.
I'd emphasise more strongly the values of thinking for yourself, of continuous improvement, and of respecting people.
I'd have clear, ideally visual, examples of what IS and IS NOT Agile.
so what will be the final result?
ReplyDeleteI suppose I can create something... but this really needs to be a shared thing
