Experts make statements; facilitators ask questions

By making a statement, you take ownership of the solution.  By asking a question, they must come up with, and therefore own, the solution.

Questions are easier if you frame the situation as one of curiosity.  There's a greater tendency for statements if you are trying to instead establish your own self-confidence.
